  • Weardodo to new URL-location

                                                  Breaking News!

Just this morning Tumblr-user ‘weardodo’ went public stating he has at last found a new url-name for his Tumblr-blog. “It wasn’t an easy task…” he confessed to one of our reporters “… people got used to my alias-name ‘weardodo’, and I am aware that such a change in url might confuse some people.” Despite this, weardodo stated that a change in url was inevitable. “Using my alias has used its purpose in the beginning, but I feel it lacks clarity concerning the main-subject of my blog. A change is needed!” After receiving numerous suggestions from fellow-Tumblr users and people on Twitter about what that new name could or should be, weardodo has made a final decision. “It was very difficult, as so many wonderful people send in great suggestions, but in the end I had to choose something that felt 100% right.”  The new name weardodo’s blog will be christened with: newbonneilnewbon. “I know it seems a bit dull…” weardodo states with a somewhat crooked smile, “…but there were two main reasons for choosing this name: firstly, it’s a clear and straightforward name stating precisely what I wanted it to state, namely ‘this is what my blog is about, period!’, and secondly, but definitely not least, it’s based on something from my childhood.” After some mild persistence, our reporter obtained more information about the nature of this ‘childhood memory’. “It’s hardly a secret that I grew up with James Bond movies, and there are always things that just kind of stick with you throughout your life. The well-known phrase ‘Bond, James Bond’ is certainly one of those things, and seeing as Neil Newbon is also someone who just always ‘kind of stuck’, this reference somehow feels just right.”

Weardodo has also indicated that he will keep the url ‘weardodo’ for the time being as a side-blog containing a link to the blog with the new name. “I know there are people who don’t have a Tumblr-account, but do go to Tumblr for certain reasons. I don’t want the non-Tumblr people who come to my blog for Neil to end up with a ‘url-not-found’ message.” To the question whether people will take to this new name, weardodo states that he just plainly doesn’t know how people will react. “Change is always something that needs adjusting to. I have all confidence that it will turn out just fine in the end.”
